How is everyone’s current birth experience with COVID??

How has everyone’s experience been with delivering your baby during the pandemic??
It’s stressing me out just having to go to the hospital for lab work let along having to be admitted to give birth!! I live in western Canada and the number of cases aren’t huge yet but they haven’t peaked either.

I had my baby girl on the 20th. And when I went into labor they told me that I most likely wasn’t going to have anyone with me. When the time came my husband was the only person aloud in with me. We asked if we could just have one more person in there with us and they said they was pushing it with my husband in the room. So our parents and family sat outside the hospital until she was born.

I agree with one comment check and see what their rule is for where you will deliver. Some hospitals aren’t allowing anyone not even the father be there.

One support person and 24 hour discharge at my Louisiana hospital

Only allowed one support person with me at my hospital. Luckily i decided on the closer hospital, bc at vanderbilt they aren't even letting the father of my child stay after delivery. Of course that's where they're mainly testing and keeping covid patients in my state!

Definitely talk to them about the delivery, most hospitals aren’t even letting dad in for the delivery.
