Help! I literally don’t understand my husband.

I am a lifelong Midwesterner. My husband is from Long Island. Sometimes I swear we speak different languages!

Examples:

Me: “Hey babe, anything I should pick up at the store today?”

Him: “Maybe some snacks.”

Me: “Okay, like what?”

Him: “I don’t know, maybe some Yodels or Cheese Doodles?”

...some WHAT?! 🤔🧐

Today...

Him: “Hey babe, can you get me a nail scissor?”

...a do what?! (Apparently he meant nail clippers) 🤦‍♀️

This language barrier is too much! 🤦‍♀️😂
