I told my sister not to come home
We are in NJ. In my town alone there are 18 confirmed cases of Coronavirus. Our governor shut down non essential businesses last week, schools are closed, my sisters job has been closed for 2 weeks.
My sister is 18. She moved in with me after our mom passed in Sept. My sister is wild, like the type that goes out and does her own thing. When I returned from work this afternoon, she was not home. I texted her, where are you?? And she told me she was 1 hour away, hanging out with friends. She took an Uber, but she has no money. I have absolutely NO IDEA who these friends are. I know that she meets random people offer an app sometimes. If I have to purchase her food for her and support her financially, how is it she can go out and hang / take Ubers around like crazy yet have no money??
Basically, my husband and I told her to stay with her friends and not come back. He told her he is going to lock the doors. Covid is spreading around like wildfire and she is not social distancing. If restaurants and schools are closing down, what makes her think its ok to hang out with friends?!
Is this ok/ reasonable, in your opinion?? We just don’t trust her for many reasons.
