Question

If I get pregnant does the guy have to pay child support if he does not want to be in the child’s life? Edit: (I am not trying to get pregnant as a trap I am just a little worried because I am off the pill for a bit to try to help with anxiety and I’ve been sexually active)

If he does not want to be a father get him to sign his rights away if you happen to get pregnant and you want to keep it. Technically you could go after him for child support, but I'd talk to the guy you are with and tell him your not on bc right now and he needs to gear up if he doesn't want to be a dad/would willingly support said child/ sign rights away. And if he doesn't want to gear up or any of those things tell him you will not be participating in sex with him.

If you file for it, yes.  They could sign their rights away, but in some states they are still obligated to pay.
