How soon is too soon to move in with S/O?

I just want to hear opinions.
My boyfriend is moving 3.5 hours away in the fall for school, and I think about it pretty often.

I moved in with my boyfriend a few weeks after being together BUT we didn’t have bills together (our own apt, accounts, etc.) for a bout 6 months after that.  
I really believe that you dont know someone until youve lived with them, so i say it’s fine if youre able to “try things out”.  Dont rush into financial commitment unless you are sure they will fulfill their half in the even things go south.

I moved in with my now husband about a month after we started dating. I knew him for a year before we started dating.
