My boyfriend likes someone else

My boyfriend and I haven’t been together that long. A little over a month now. It all happened really quickly but I’m a hopeless romantic and so is he. I believed we both knew what we got into and we were fine with it. I was meant to move when we got together but postponed my flight so I’d stay another month so we would have time together before I left. Till now, it’s been great.

I recently found out he’s still texting the previous girl he had an emotional attachment to, they never got into a relationship. He told me he still has feelings for her and is confused on what to do. They spoke for months and built a foundation whereas we met, we clicked and we just got into a relationship. They were building up to something more before he met me.

I’m torn on what to do, I’m currently staying with him cause me postponing my flight meant I had to. I don’t want to fight for his love because I know the heart wants what the heart wants. I just don’t know how to deal with this situation.

I stayed single for months before this relationship because I didn’t want to get into something that would just hurt me again. Yet, here I am.

Please, please help. I feel like I’m losing my mind.
