Is your baby talking?

Question

Are all of your Jan 2018 babies talking? What are some milestones your baby has hit or is missing? I see some autism symptoms in my boy and just wanna talk to other moms of kids his age. He was born Jan 31, 2018

My daughter is learning 2 languages. So she does say small sentences in both languages but nothing crazy yet. She talks clearly. But my mom told me that kids with older siblings tend learn to talk sooner than kids with no siblings. But music really helps them talk

Have you reached out to Early Intervention to have your child evaluated?  I had them come out when my son was 4 months old because I was concerned about him not turning to look for sounds and lights... it turned out he had torticollis so he was unable to turn his head.   We had them for a year and it was amazing to have them to help with development and to see if he was on track.
My son was born 1/15/18 and is a chatterbox. He’s starting to form sentences to get his point across.
Each child is different, some develop at different paces.
I would def give early intervention a call for piece of mind!

If your son isn’t talking with 2-3 word sentences yet you may want to have him evaluated. Early intervention is the best way to go. My stepson was only saying a handful of words at 2 and had to have speech therapy. He came right along with that help ❤️

My daughter has a lot of jibber jabber going on but only says a handful of words she doesn’t put 2 or more together it’s just one word words but she understands what we are saying but won’t say stuff back to us it’s frustrating since we don’t always know what she’s saying and she gets mad so easy cuz we can’t understand her ￼

My pediatrician said don’t even sweat it much yet, when they are 2 1/2 his ped should evaluate his speech and you’ll go from there. You’d be surprised what they pick up in a couple months. I was worried at my sons 2 year check up but now this kid says so many words/ short sentences! He has picked up a lot just in the last month it’s so crazy... just talk to him more that helped us. Like if your doing the dishes be like “mommy is washing the dishes” “mommy is putting the dishes in the cabinet” etc

My son never stops talking. But I know that my brother didn’t talk until he was almost 3 and started with full blown sentences. He knew just didn’t care to vocalize. He’s now a very successful business person so I wouldn’t be concerned yet! 
Is he around other kids that are talking a lot? Reading lots of books and narrate what you do throughout your day. 
If you’re really concerned there are several early intervention groups you can contact to get assessed depending on your location but I would try not to stress too much as each kid develops at their own pace.

My son never crawled, but that's not really a milestone if that sort. He doesn't really talk yet he say a handful of words, but he is extremely good in expressing what he wants and communicate in other ways.
