Does your baby like the slumber buddy lights? (pic in description)

We got this as a baby shower gift, and I’m not sure if we want to keep it. If you have one, does your child like it? 
It projects colored stars onto the ceiling and walls. This one also has a sound machine built in, but we have a separate sound machine we could use without the lights also. 
I’m not sure if starting him out using it would make him more dependent on having lights to sleep in the future.

My toddler LOVES HIS TWILIGHT TURTLE. It has a timer and so we turn it on before bed and he watches the stars change color until he falls asleep. When he started having nightmares, most times he would turn on his turtle and go back to sleep before I could even get in there!
They are wonderful! He's had his for almost 3 years and my infant has one now too she loves watching the stars, I can put her down drowsy and it lulls her to a full sleep.

We were gifted one and never used in his room because he was fine sleeping in the dark. But he liked it a lot in the car at night, it was pretty much the only thing that calmed him down when we were driving at night.

We had twilight turtle when my older son was a toddler. Didn’t start it as a baby so he wasn’t dependent on it but probably around 3-4yrs old so it was like his stuffed animals but just special because it lit up. He really enjoyed it.

My son has used his from birth to current(hes almost 3) still loves it. We dont really use the sounds anymore but he likes the lights until he falls asleep so I'll set the timer so they go off on their own.

We have a similar one, it’s not a soft pillow like thing but a little hippo starlight projector and music/sound machine we use it every night she loves it. (She is almost 3!)

We have the cat version of this and have never used it for sleeping. I feel it would keep my son up as he’d be mesmerised by the “light show”. You should keep it for when your baby is older though and it’d be fun to make forts etc and use the lights that way. That’s what I plan to do anyway 😊
