Is this normal?

I became good friends with a dude, but he doesn’t want to date, we became friends with benefits, he still doesn’t want to date, I hang out with a friend (of the same sex, mind you), but I wouldn’t tell him who I was hanging out with. I just said, a friend, why does it matter? Because quite honestly, I don’t feel it’s any of his business and next thing I know, this dude is beyond jealous and uninviting me to things we’ve had planned previously. For someone who doesn’t want to date, he sure acted like a jealous boyfriend, no?
