Troubleshooting my 9 month old!?

Question

First time mom here -- be gentle. Looking for things I can do or reinforce over time to help with these problems. 
Anyone have these problems and figured out a fix or trick for it?
*Twisting during diaper changes? 
---*on that note is anyone still using a changing table? I'm thinking of just changing on the floor for now on. Tried giving her a toy to look at but she still twists
*Discouraging bad behavior (this morning she smacked the spoon out of my hand and got food all over me. I sternly told her that was bad but she laughs at me. She cries when my husband says no to her. 
*Keeping them from touching things they shouldn't (for instance she loves standing up and slapping the glass on our coffee table. I'm worried she might use a toy or grab a remote and break it -- for now I startle her with a quick NO or HEY but it doesn't always get her to stop)
*Eating too much at once (I give her only one baby cookie or teether wheel but she has a tendency to want to shove the whole thing her her mouth when she gets impatient. I always give her purees first then a treat after if she eats it all)
*Discouraging climbing in her crib (we moved her mattress down to the lowest setting but she's a tall girl and can still pull up in her crib. Should I discourage it or should I let her find out the hard way? She has a cushioned rug around her crib)

I’m just going to say it... She’s only an infant. Keep breakables out of reach, baby proofing and maybe taking extra time to compose yourself. Yes you can start teaching them what’s good and bad but even as she gets older she’s going to test you. It’s what kids do.

My baby does some of these too. She tries to roll on the changing table and will smack me when she’s upset. I tell her “no” and redirect her behavior. She doesn’t understand no yet, but I’m hoping she will start to understand as she gets older if I keep redirecting her and saying “no.” I think it’s developmental at this point but I also want her to know it isn’t okay to hit. Giving her a toy on the changing table makes her inclined to roll less.

It sounds like its time to baby proof. Put breakables out of reach.
Personally, I only use the changing table for really messy diapers. 
If she's smacking the spoon maybe she's done? Or try not saying anything, just getting up and walking away with the food for a min. Come back and try again.
Also I wouldn't let her climb out of her crib if you can avoid it- she could get really hurt. Maybe try a Montessori type bedroom. Then her mattress would be on the floor.

I think you’re really just asking how to discipline at this age, and that’s a perfectly valid question as they are getting into more and more and learning what they can do :)
I actually texted a mom friend of mine yesterday about this so you’re not alone, it’s not like we’re upset about it, just wondering what is age appropriate discipline.
I just keep repeating no and taking whatever it is away. For example pulling my hair, I’ll say no firmly and take away his hand over and over again and if he starts laughing I’ll distract him with something else.
Don’t worry mama, nothing wrong with teaching them the word no at this age.

If my little one is rolling on her changing pad too much I just buckle her in, which mostly helps. She doesn't hit her spoon but she will spit her food or throw her bottle when she is done. When she spits I just wipe her face (which she hates) and tell her "all done" and use the sign for it. Same with her bottle I tell her "don't throw, say all done" while showing her the sign. It is a process but watching her cues for when she is finishing her solids helps too.

Yeah my baby does all of these things! I tell her no, firmly when she tries to roll during diaper changes and move her back onto her back, and just talk to her as she fusses. “I hear you crying, I know you are feeling frustrated right now because you want to roll, but I have to change your diaper.” Sometimes I also try counting in a fun excited voice and by the time I get to 10 I’m finished and say it all excited and scoop her up.
The standing in the crib thing I don’t discourage at all, I just let her do it. 
And yeah, you can’t baby proof your entire house, inevitably there’s going to be at least a few things she shouldn’t play with. For us it’s the fireplace cover and the dogs water bowl. I tell her “no ma’am! We can’t play with that.” Then redirect her to something else. 
My daughter definitely understands the word “No”. It’s a wild time! I’m sure you are doing a great job.

My son is always rolling and crawling away from me during changing! I change him on the floor to avoid any accidents. You could try pull up style nappies instead as they are easier to put on while they are moving. 
The spoon thing is pretty normal at this age. There really isn’t such a thing as ‘bad’ behaviour as children this young don’t have any concept of right or wrong. You just have to say ‘no’ and try again. I know it’s frustrating - my son will constantly throw his sippy cup on the floor after he’s finished with it. 
Now that she’s pulling to stand you need to move anything that she shouldn’t have and put it out of reach. If she does grab something she shouldn’t, tell her ‘no’ and redirect her attention to something she can have/play with. She might go straight back to whatever she wanted before so you just repeat that until she doesn’t. 
In terms of trying to cram in a lot of food into her mouth, I’d just give her smaller more manageable pieces. Obviously they need to be big enough for her to hold but maybe halving the cookie would help.
Standing in the cot is a very common thing for babies to do so I wouldn’t discourage that. The only thing you need to be concerned about is when she’s able to climb out (but I’m sure that’s a long way off) and then it’d be time to transition to a ‘big girl’ bed. If she does fall down inside the cot I’m sure she’ll be okay and it will be one of many tumbles!

I'm a FTM too. Babies are a pretty sharp learning curve, eh? 🤪
My son recently started the alligator roll during diaper changes, and I found hanging a mobile over his changing table helped keep him focused and face up.
As for discipline, if he's touching or grabbing something he shouldn't then I calmy but firmly tell him 'Tata' and remove his hand. He's getting the hang of it slowly. We've baby-proofed as much as we can, but kids inevitably get into everything so I plan to be consistent with a 'No' and a head shake. Whatever your parenting style may be, consistency is key ♥️ good luck!

I’m going through some similar scenarios with my son. 
He reaches for the spoon or slaps it and then gets food all over. I understand he’s a baby, but he needs to learn that isn’t okay. Especially considering he’s hungry, but I stop feeding him because his behavior! He has also developed this sudden hate for his high chair. Dude, I’m not going to feed you in your jumper or playpen. Ain’t gonna happen! 
My son HATES bedtime or nap time. He puts up a fight every single time. He arches his back, kicks, cries, and yells when I rock him (I rock him to get him to settle down because if I set him down he will just play). He even tries to pull my hair if it’s down or scratch my face. I try to hold him still and sternly tell him no. I know he’s getting older, exploring, and learning the world around him, but I want him to know that behavior isn’t acceptable. 
I don’t really have any other suggestions other than saying no, being stern about it, and walking away. Babies and kids do things because they’re looking for a reaction. If we don’t react, perhaps they’ll stop.
