Should I be worried?!

I can only feel one string of my iud. Should I schedule an appointment? I have also started experiencing cramps similar to the ones I got when it was placed.

Answer

I had cramping for a week after on and off, and around my period. I never check for strings, because it doesn’t really matter if they are there or not. Once it sits in you for awhile, the strings will soften up and curl up, so you won’t feel them as much.
