3year old

Has a temperature of 38.3. He is so hot to touch. But he doesn’t cough but has a cold. And holding his head saying it hurts! I am scared and panicking. Can it be covid19? Omg I don’t even know what to do or feel

So went to the Gp and he said that my 3yr old has ear infection, but somehow I am not convinced cos he has not complained about his ear hurting. I’ve touched it several time without a reaction. Is it possible to have an ear infection without the ear hurting? He only complains about headache and joint pain then fever! If your little one has had an ear infection before can you share their symptoms please? Thank you
