Advice for first time home buyers?

My husband and I are in contact with a loan officer who has us on a plan to get our credit up, before we start looking at houses. So my question is, what are some questions we should ask about if we do find a house we like? What type of inspections should we ask for? We are completely new to the process, and I’m a little scared we may not have all the knowledge we need when buying our first home. What’s something you wish you had known before buying a house? Here’s what I know: ask when the roof was last replaced, have the foundation checked, ands that’s about it 😅 help!!
