Can somebody help me with deciding on what kind of car seat I need?

This is my first baby. What are pros and cons of convertible car seat? I don’t know what I’m doing 😣 if you have any recommendations please tell me.

If you want to save money look on Facebook Market place ! As long as it’s not expired and has all the parts to it it’s a great way !! I would try and look for a infant car seat that comes with the bases, sometimes they one ones that come in a set with a stroller. You just have to look everyday because there is new ones :)

I like the idea of the convertible but doesn't seem practical to me. I couldn't imagine waking up a sleeping baby to but them in a baby carrier or carry them around the grocery store. But that's just me.

I definitely would not use a convertible for a newborn. It’s horrible to me having to wake them up to take them out. I did it with my first child and regret that quickly. And I hate baby wearing so I had to just carry him. I immediately bought a travel system instead. For quick trips i just snapped in the car seat to the stroller. Love it. And love the bassinet option too.
