friends w/ benefits?

I’ve reconnected with a male friend of 10+ years. We have an undeniable chemistry and literally always make out every time we’ve been around each other. We haven’t seen each other in years and communication has been sort of minimal out of respect for my relationship. 
A few months back (after my recent breakup) we linked back up and the chemistry is still there. Honestly, I’ve had feelings for this guy all of these years. We finally crossed the line four months ago and had sex. We’ve been linking and hanging out, which has been amazing. We text all day every day and have been doing so for 6 months straight now. We always have a really good time together, listening to our favorite music, watching our favorite shows, and vibing. It’s always perfect, and then he’ll grab my face and kiss me deeply. My knees get weak every time. The attraction is clearly there, and we have really amazing sex. 
The issue is: is it JUST sex? I really like him but I don’t really know how to address the situation and tell him how I feel about him without making things weird between us, but I overthink everything.
If it matters: He’s a Taurus & I’m a Virgo.

You can either go on a it is or make things weird. We can't possibly know what he feels 🤷🏻‍♀️
You have to decide if you can live with this as it is or if you have to get answers about how he feels.
I recommend the last solution because you're wasting your time on a guy you have feelings for but you don't know if it's mutual 🤷🏻‍♀️
Get answers and move on from him if he isn't interested..

Sounds like he could have the same feelings as you. If it was just sex he wouldn’t be doing all that and hanging out and texting you all day. He would just come around when he wants it and dip. Maybe when you guys are hanging out just tell him it could potentially lead to a real relationship but you will never know until you open up to him about how you feel. I get your scared and don’t want to mess up what you guys have but I think he’s in to you to. Good luck!

UPDATE - FINALLY!
I finally worked up the courage to tell this man how I really feel about him yesterday. 
What did he say?
This man tells me that he loves me and his feelings have always been there.
Right now, he’s really been going  through it. he’s in the worst place mentally and emotionally he’s ever been (and i get that, because i’m in a similar space, given what’s going on.)
he doesn’t feel that he’s at a place in his life where he can give me what i deserve, and i respect it.
said he doesn’t want to give me half of him.
i still want to be present for him. i’m not putting any pressure on him for anything. i told him that i just want him to be good, first. I let him know that i’m gonna be present as his friend first, bc he needs that more than anything. i would take my time with him, tbh. i’m not tryna jump straight into a relationship. we went a long time without communicating/seeing each other so i think we need to relearn one another and date each other, when he’s in a better space and ready.
He agreed.

All you can do is talk to him and find out if this is going anywhere. If It freaks them out then you know he’s a coward and it’s just sex. After six months of messing with this guy, and he  doesn’t want to have a relationship with you, what a waste of your time. If he’s just using you and it’s just sex that’s messed up and you deserve better. If you have feelings than friends with benefits is not the thing for you, once feelings get involved, it’s over, especially if they don’t reciprocate those feelings. You lose the friend and the lover and end up feeling heartbroken and used.

I think you have to just ask him. You cannot afford assumptions. Just say...what would you call us? Are you seeing anyone else? How do you feel about me? Then be prepared to tell him you are really into him and are hoping that he feels the same way.

Girl if you guys are texting all day, watching movies and shows together... it doesn’t sound like just sex. If a dude is not interested in anything other than sex, he will make it clear. If he’s investing his time and energy and he’s been consistent I think it’s safe to say he likes you back. Be honest and rip the bandaid off. Talk about it because in my opinion it’s better to know now what’s the deal than to keep falling and crash if you find out down the line it was just sex.
