Brother made himself puke

I got up to take care of my dog and my brother walked down before to use the bathroom cuz I was in the one upstairs. I come downstairs and hes coughing as hard as he can to make himself throw up. The only time I ever do this is if my nausea is so bad that I can’t handle it. But it seems like he’s doing this to get out of something. He didn’t work for the last month cuz “he had symptoms of covid “ causing me to call off to keep my coworkers safe but after a few days he was fine and a few days ago he went to his fiancés house for 3 days. He’s supposed to go back to work tomorrow.

Now a while ago he was diagnosed with fatty liver. (He eats really badly, theres legit 8 pizza boxes in his car. He gets them every shift) and he also claims that his car makes him sick because it’s really old and gives off carbon monoxide. Which could be true but hes 26 and has barely been trying to save up for a new one. My mom refuses to get him a new one cus he absolutely trashed the one he has after she got it for him. Also he lies all the time

But I know that forcing yourself to puke can hurt your stomach? Like I said I’ve done it before if I’m super nauseous and I don’t try that hard 😂but he was like hacking his lungs up
