Any other mommas due 4/30 and being induced?

Surprisingly, my midwife asked me if I wanted to be induced at 39 weeks. I was shocked because all the hospitals around my area aren’t doing elective procedures so I didn’t know what to say. She said she recommends only being induced if at my next appt at 38 weeks when they do a cervical check if I’m dilated at all or if my cervix is thinning but not to be induced if I’m still closed like I was when they checked at 36 weeks. At first I was like heck yea induce me! Lol but I’m reading too many horror stories and have talked to close girl friends about their experience and they said they wouldn’t do it again. So now I’m just like 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think I’ll wait lol

But what about you girls?? Have you been offered to be induced at 39 weeks with a low risk pregnancy? I’ve heard that hospitals are pushing for women to be induced so they can be appropriately staffed and get us in and out as quick as possible lol
