Will my baby ever roll?

Question

My son is 5 months and two weeks old. He hates tummy time. He will not do it. If I have him do it he will cry and be grumpy until he goes down for his next nap and that’s anywhere from 30 mins-3 hours. I can’t do that to him. I have tried all different kind of methods. He will just not do it. He has great head support. 
With that being said, he is still not rolling. Will he learn if he’s never on his tummy? Will he ever crawl? How can I help him he mobile in the upcoming months? I am worried about him not not rolling or crawling. Yes I know some babies don’t crawl but I would like for him to move around on his own.

My first started crawling before he ever rolled lol, he crawled at 8.5 months and that’s when he figured rolling was a good way to get into crawling position. So he could do it all along but didn’t want to.
My second rolled like 2 weeks before he started crawling, so at 8 months.
Keep putting baby on the floor to play. Obviously tummy time is good but so is time on their back, learning to wiggle on their back is helpful. And I always carried my babies upright on my shoulder to help their cores since neither of them liked tummy time.

Hey dear! I had the same issue with my son. He started to rolling at 6,5 months, crawling on belly at 7,5 months and crawling on his knees and hands at 10,5 months. Each baby has own pace. For support I think it necessary to stimulate the interest in some toys/things by sitting with baby on the floor several times during a day.  Have patience and your little one will be there:)

My son rolled over until 7.5 months old, then loved tummy time at 8 months old and learned to crawl at 9.5 months old

How much tummy time does baby tolerate? 10 seconds? 30 seconds? Honestly I'd start with a really modest goal like 30 seconds at a time and do that 10-15 times a day. Then add 10 seconds the next day, and the next day and so on. And like another commenter said, keep baby on the floor as much as possible. Don't sit them up or put them in baby holding devices (bouncer, exersaucer, walker, high chair, etc.), This could decrease their motivation to do it on their own.

My nephew had only rolled a handful of times back to belly by 8 months so the doctor sent him for a physical therapy assessment. They gave a few exercises to try and he was to start PT in a month if no improvement. Just working with him for a few minutes, several times a day, and he was a crawling machine within the month. He’s still never rolled tummy to back.

My second kid didn't start rolling until almost 6 months. Even then he didn't roll much, but then started army crawling across the house at 7 months. 
   He doesn't do "gradual learning", its 0 to 60 with this one! 🤣
