Should i ignore him or...?

Hi everyone!

(Really long post ahead)

So i have this dilemma, there is this guy that added me on IG a couple of weeks ago after i had seen him coming into my work a couple of times. I didn’t think much of him so i just followed back because he seems like a nice person. Later on he replied to one of my IG stories where i had posted a picture of one of my drawings and i asked what i should draw next. He sent a picture of a painting and said i should draw that. I just said that i though that would be a little hard for me to draw and then he just kept making conversation and asking me different questions to get to know me. I took really long to reply to every message because 1.I am not a good texter and 2.I just wasn’t really interested in talking to him, but i kept answering his questions. Until i just didn’t know how to stop the conversation without being rude so i just said “I’m sorry i have to go i hope you have a nice day.”

Later that day he asked how had my day been. I really didn’t feel like talking to him or anyone for that matter (i have pretty much been in quarantine for over a month now just like everyone else has, so that day i felt kind of depressed) so i just didn’t reply and i figured he wouldn’t message me again but he did today, he just asked “how are you?” I really don’t want to be rude but i know if i answer he will start asking a number of different questions not giving me a chance to stop talking to him like he did the first time, so i just feel like ignoring him a second time and leave him on read. What do you guys think i should do? I don’t want to be rude because he didn’t disrespect me in anyway but i also don’t want to hold a conversation with him at all.
