If an extended family member would ask to borrow money from you, would you lend it them?

I’m talking about extended family members, since a lot of us are close to our parents/siblings/grandparents. Would you do it? I never lend money to anyone unless it’s my parents or grandparents, I don’t have siblings so I was just wondering if anyone else is iffy about it? 🤔

I lend money with the idea I will never get it back. If I do great of not. No problem.

If you could trust them then I would. If someone is borrowing the money then that is an agreement you are getting it back. I would expect to be given my money back unless I actually gave it to them as a gift

I never “lend” money. If I can afford to part with the money, then I give it to the person. I do not maintain some desire for it back. If they happen to repay me, then great. If not, nothing lost or ill feelings held because I had determined that I was willing to part with the money forever in the first place.

It would depend on who, but yeah probably. I lend money knowing I probably won’t get it back. I can’t watch people struggle if I can help

It would depend on why they needed the money. I also don’t lend money ever. If I can’t afford to give money to someone then I’ll just say no. I’ve had too many bad experiences with letting someone borrow money and expecting it back bc chances are if they don’t have the money now they won’t have it later to pay u back either
