Wedding Drama
My wedding is in a couple of months and I genuinely feel like I've missed out on it being a somewhat enjoyable experience. All of my planning is in the final stages and I will be so glad when it's over. Granted, I'm very excited to be getting married and I love my fiance too death. BUT, my future mother-in-law has made this whole experience terrible. She's criticized our choices for our wedding party, my dress, my shoes, our venue, etc. It's as if she wants our wedding to he exactly like hers. Despite paying for my future brother-in-laws whole wedding, she won't help with anything because we aren't doing everything to her standards. We're going for a very simple, small, rustic wedding and we've made that clear from day one. We've essentially paid for everything and I'm very proud of what we've managed to do. However, I can't help but feel like we haven't gotten the support from his family that we should've simply because we decided on a wedding venue instead of your traditional church wedding.

Has anyone else had to deal with this or am I alone? I honestly don't know how much more I can take.
