Hanging things on wall above crib?

Question

I never even thought this would be an issue but while I was showing my sister my nursery plans, she said I shouldn’t hang anything on the wall above the crib because they can fall on the baby🥺 
Has anyone had this problem? I see so many adorable pics of nursery decor and was really excited about my ideas but I’d never want to put the baby at risk. TIA💕

We hung two framed animal prints above the crib. We took the glass out of the frame, and used “earthquake proof” brackets PLUS on the corners we added some sticky stuff. I forget the details of the exact products because it was over a year ago but we got it all at Home Depot. but let’s put it this way.... they aren’t going ANYWHERE.

We just keep the crib out a couple inches from the walls. 
my baby always throws things out of her crib and it made it easier to get the items back. 
We have 3 picture frames that are hung in the wall above the crib. (out of reach) they're just hung by 1 nail each. Nothing special but if they ever did fall, they would fall between the bed and wall.

Have you ever had something fall off your walls before? Living on my own for 10 years I have never had any pictures or wall decor fall. 
I have three frames above my 18-month-olds crib. I keep the crib pulled out 2 inches to grab pacifiers, never had a problem with the pictures.

The only thing I have above my baby’s crib is a name sign that’s well secured and super light

If you're worried about them falling off the wall you could just pull the crib 1-2 inches off the wall so that if they fall, God forbid, they just land on the floor behind the crib.

I feel like as long as you aren't hanging something like a heavy mirror or something else like that it should be fine. Just make sure to hang it up really well and make sure it's as secure as it can be and isn't close enough down where when baby stands up he or she can pull it down.

I often think this when I see people's nurseries. Personally I don't think it's safe to hang anything over/near the crib that could potentially fall down.

Never had a problem. Hubby did use some serious anchors though and made sure they were in studs. And the crib is away from the wall a little

I just wouldn’t hang anything super heavy like heavy mirrors, ect. But typical frames and stuff I wouldn’t think twice on.

Omg, just secure it properly! I can not possibly believe that anyone is that afraid of something falling. Unless you are incapable of hanging something securely, or live where there's earthquakes often, I can't even imagine why you would be concerned about that.
