New birth control and I’m confused????

Ok so I’ve just started birth control last month to regulate my cycle and hormones and when I first started it was a light bleed like spotting, but I’ve noticed that in the last two weeks I’ve been bleeding more than before and for the last three days it’s been extremely heavy and I can’t even use the restroom or take a shower without blood coming out right when I’m finished (usually I don’t bleed for at least 30 minutes or more after a shower or using the bathroom). I’ve also been getting a little nauseous since taking them and cramping so bad this last week. I’m so confused about if this is “normal” for the first month of taking the pill or should I worry because even though I’m irregular af I never bleed heavy or cramp when I’m on my period it’s just long and doesn’t come every month. I’m thinking of going back to the doctor and maybe getting a different brand next week or when I finish the new pack I just started last week. If anyone can give me some advise it would be helpful, thanks.
