What should I do?

Okay before I got pregnant I was Prone to BV infections which they had me on long term treatment with the metronidazole gel 0.75 taking it 3 times a night out of a week now when I found out I was pregnant I stopped taking it, which my doctor told me that’s good because my first trimester I can’t take an antibiotics he gave me a alternative with the yogurt but it’s not working & the smell on my discharge is so bad it’s making me sick. So when I called today my normal doctor off due to it being Sunday this doctor tells me to take the metronidazole tonight & call my doctor in the morning .. is it safe? I really can’t let this good untreated like they advised me until I hit my 12 weeks making that my second trimester. So basically I have to have a stank vagina until I’m 12 weeks in pregnancy I can’t & I won’t don’t know what to do 😞
