What should I expect after birth? First weeks

Hey mom's I am preparing for everything with pregnancy labor and delivery.... I am wondering what I need to be prepared for after birth..... When and how often does my baby need to see their doctor? When do I see my OB next. Do you need to pre register for the pediatrician you want. I have one in mind and I know he takes my insurance

6 weeks gyno appointment, 2 days Peditrician appointment after delivery plus the Peditrician will meet you at the hospital as well once the baby has been born and then two weeks again for the pediatrician

After birth you need to sleep when your baby sleeps if not your going to be really tired. You won't need to take your baby to his/her pediatrician until 2 month check up for his/her shots. Then 4 months 6 months 8 months and the year. You can register your baby with the pediatrician before the first visit. You will see your OBGYN six weeks after birth to get your check up.

I had to preregister, and with all the coronavirus restrictions, I recommend you do the same. 
I would also find  good lactation consultant (IBCLC) ahead of time if you are planning to breastfeed. 
Get all your post partum items in order— pads or diapers, peri bottle, sitz bath, healing or numbing spray, etc.

Our pedi always sees the baby a few days to a week after discharge. Then at 2-4-6-9-12 months. I didn’t have to register with them before hand.
