Is taking a break worth it?

My opinion I think that if you're going to take a break you might as well break up because it is literally an excuse for your partner to be pretty much saying you're not worth it and I want to sleep with other people but I don't want you to be mad at me for it. I understand taking some time to get in the right headspace for a relationship but if you're going to be taking a break you might as well break up and stay broken up because when you're taking a break anything and everything is acceptable as far as involvement with other people.

My boyfriend and I took a break for 9 months. Let me tell you it was the hardest thing ever. It was more of a break up at first because a lot of things where happening around that time. 
We solved things which is a long story a lots of tears. Now back together after 3 yrs and still till this day I really take it slow. It’s still weird after something like that happens. The sex and foreplay is weird bcs it’s like starting all over again still.

Depends, my mom and her wife take breaks from each other pretty often and they’re happily together for almost 20 years.

I always think of you have to take a break then it's not meant to be. I treat breaks like a break up.
