Pregnancy / miscarriage confusion

Hi there

I am just looking for some advice please, feel a bit confused.

My period was due maybe 4/5 days ago. It is approximately my 3rd period since having my first baby (she is 6 months). I had been feeling a little queasy and my husband and I had had sex a few times a couple of weeks ago. I took a ‘line’ pregnancy test yesterday and 2 lines came up basically straight away. I did a digital one this morning and it said 2-3 weeks pregnant. We were a bit shocked yesterday but happy, as we had been talking about having babies close together (if possible). Anyway I do feel a bit queasy today but then an hour ago felt a whoosh of a flow down there and looked in my underwear and there was blood. Not just like a little spot, basically a big enough line of blood and I believe in my gut it’s a sign that this pregnancy is ending. Obviously I cried and my husband was a bit sad too as it was just such a depressing sight to see in my underwear. I’m just confused as with my first pregnancy I didn’t have one speck of blood in my pants so I’m taking this as a bad sign? I know there is the reality of spotting but I’m not sure if what I had was too much to be spotting and I might be past the stage for spotting?

Sorry this is so long, I’m just confused and a bit down after seeing that digital test result this morning and feeling happy.
