Anyone’s partner (or self) work for DHL?

Super random but hopefully someone can help with info! My husband drove for FedEx for 5 years. He has been dying to get on with a different company.. the DHL express company (or, “the yellow vans” as my daughter says lol) but the central location is about 2.5 hours away and he always heard that the drivers keep applications in their trucks in the event that someone inquires. Is this true? We never see any posts on their site for openings around here but we see the trucks/vans ALL the time, and have for years.
