Nurses/nursing students?

Question

Did nursing school take a toll on your relationship? 
I'm in an RN program. My boyfriend is getting so frustrated because I study SO much. And when I'm not studying, I'm stressing about school. As long as I pass my classes this semester, I will only have 1 semester left. I dont know what to do. School has taken over my life, but it is so hard that I have to commit so much time to it. I just wanted to see if I'm the only one

I’m married and just finished nursing school. It did not take a toll on our relationship because my husband supports me and my goals and always encouraged me to study and not procrastinate. 
Yes it was stressful at time. 
Yes at times I had to say no to certain things because school had to be my focus. 
Yes it is completely doable if you learn how to properly manage your time. 
However, it is only possible to do both if He is supportive of you. 
If he isn’t- I suggest you talk to him openly about it and see if your values and goals for the future line up. He may not be the right one for you. Nursing is a very stressful and with long shifts and coming home exhausted, he may not understand.

If your relationship is suffering because of school, he isn’t the one for you. My marriage survived two rounds of paramedic school, basically a year of not seeing my husband, and we were fine.  We supported each other and understood how important this was. If he can’t support you, he isn’t the one for you.

A little different but actually pretty similar. I am a teacher and just like nursing students have clinicals, teachers have internships and student teaching along with courses. I also worked full time in an ICU until my last semester when I dropped to one day a week. It was hard! That last semester was really rough as I was working as a teacher full time without pay 5 days a week. Lesson planning was really slow and I spent so much time planning and grading. I also picked up a 12 hour shift at the hospital most weekends. It was hard and took its toll but we made it and I so happy I had a supportive partner.
