I’m going back to work soon. I work an an eye doctor and the CDC just listen the ban on eye exams. They’re giving us regular masks to wear, but my concern is that my partner has type 1 diabetes and is therefore high risk. I don’t want to risk bringing anything home with me since i work in such close quarters with patients. My dad is a superintendent for a construction company and they use N95 for woodwork and for when they’re using chemicals, and he has an extra one for me. Would it be wrong to wear it at work?

Aren’t they all FDA labelled as single use? You’d be putting him at risk by not using a new mask between every pt. It also lives on shoes and clothing.

This is a crazy coincidence but I also work for an eye doctor and my boyfriend is a type 1 diabetic. I would definitely wear a mask. You really don't want to bring that home especially since your partner immune compromised. It'll also make the patients feel safer

We ordered some in January, as we were tracking this virus from the very beginning. We only have a few, but I wear it when I go to the store.

You definitely can wear it. However, unless you have been fit tested for it, the size may be off. A surgical mask may actually be better at that point. Covid-19 is a droplet virus, so a surgical mask will protect you if worn properly.

I actually dont know. I mean I think it depends on you and how you feel about it. If you want to wear one and would feel better about being at work go for it.
