Hi all, 
I placed my sons father on child support but the issue is he has never had a job and has no job experience. Will the court close my case out or will he be forced to pay something?

Here where I live, if you dont have a job and ordered to pay child support they will hook you up with a job so you can pay it. Whatever time has went by that the baby has been home from the hospital(I'm pretty sure but dont quote me) he has to pay off until hes to today's date. So he works but doesnt really get any of the money because the courts take it staright out of his paycheck.

They can give you money until he starts working then he has to report it but usually there’s programs you can get into that’ll help give you some money

My state has a state minimum even if you have no employment. State minimum is $50 a month and cannot be modified for 36 months.

He has to pay. That’s his problem to find a job. If he’s court ordered to pay the courts don’t care if he’s a bum

They usually do 15% of their income, but if they have no income then I'm not sure what all they could do. They definitely couldn't enforce anything since garnishing their wages doesn't do anything when he has no wages to garnish
