My son’s speech therapist and my pediatrician have different feedback on my son. What should I do?

My son is 30 months and was born premature and has always either been behind or on Target with his milestones. He’s currently using one, two or three word phrases but somehow my speech therapists say he’s behind but when I went to see his pediatrician, she said not all children are the same on development when I mentioned the speech component and she said she sees a healthy normal child so she said I shouldn’t stress and said if I wanted I can take a 6 month break from therapy and see how he is. He doesn’t have any developmental disability as well. I have been using two speech therapists and pay one $100 for 30 minutes every week (she’s been in practice for 40 years). When I told the therapist i would like to take a break she said we are making a very big mistake and that we will lose momentum. She also sends me videos of her grandchild who can read atleast a sentence and says my son needs to be performing at that level and saying 4/5 word phrases . Now I feel confused, anxious. I feel so much pressure with therapists because it makes me focus on what my son doesn’t have and I end up comparing my son to other kids while my pediatrician doesn’t seem worried about my son. She says as long as he’s talking to us and communicating his needs. Are there any moms with toddlers this age or what are your thoughts?

Thanks so much!!
