Delivering with a mask- what was it like?

This question is for all the mamas whose May babies came early. Did you have to wear a mask to deliver? What was it like? Suggestions?
I live in PA near NJ, so a high coronavirus area, and the rule is that myself and my husband both need to wear a mask the entire time at the hospital. I had to go in last week for preeclampsia monitoring and wore a mask during the 4 hours I was there. It was so hot and uncomfortable and I even took it off quite a bit when I was alone in the room. I am pretty much DREADING pushing out a baby with a mask on. So if you have any tips I’d love to hear them.

I was in for monitoring last week and they said policy was we had to wear them anytime someone else was in the room but I got hot and clammy when they were inserting my IV (so pretty much right after we got there) so they told me I could take it off, and no one cared or gave me trouble about it after that, but I did put it back on a bit later when I was feeling better.  I would hope they would have some understanding that needing to breathe properly when you’re in pain is important so hopefully they’re understanding if you need a break from it.

My mask fell on the floor and my nurse threw it out and said she’ll get me another one but 6 hours later I still don’t have one

Not me, but my friend in Wisconsin said they had to both wear masks, but that they were going easy on women in labor. She kept it on wile doctors were in the room, and was fine during the early stages of labor, but she said when one of the first big contractions hit she sucked it into her mouth, and then ripped it off her face and didn't have it on for the rest of the labor. No one told her to put it back on.
But who knows. Every Hospital is difference

I'm in PA. I am being tested on admission and if I am positive I need to wear a mask and secluded to my room otherwise I can be without.
