Entertaining and playing with a toddler

I was just wondering how much other parents spend playing with/entertaining their kids during the day.

My son is almost 20 months and he hardly ever lets me have any quiet time or relax time or even cuddle time! Very rarely will he want to cuddle on the couch while we watch the news and if he does it's only for about 5 minutes. The rest of the day he always wants me crawling on the floor with him, he calls it "cleaning" cause we play with toys as we put them away. If I stand up to use the washroom, get a drink, he chases me and screams and pulls my hand to try to drag me down to the floor. Even if I say "mommy just wants to sit down for a few mins", he gets very upset and pulls my hair and says "mommy up". When I'm trying to cook dinner, he stands at my feet continually saying "up up up" and starts getting impatient and upset if I don't pick him up, then my fiance usually comes to pick him up and try to distract him.

I love him more than anything and I'm happy that he wants to spend time with me as I've heard stories of kids "outgrowing" the playing with their parents stage and I love playing with him or reading with him etc, but I really need to be able to sit down and breathe for like 10 at least minutes! I'm so exhausted that I need to nap when he does and I go to bed almost when he does and it's hard cause I get no time to myself.

When my fiance is home, I have to go downstairs (opposite floor) and spend any time down there for a break and he will occupy himself and quietly play with his toys but as soon as I'm in the room hes all over me again!

I want to be able to have some time to myself, although I feel extremely guilty so I guess I'm just wondering what other parents do.
