am I wrong to be frustrated with my boyfriend?

my boyfriend lost his car in November of last year (due to his mom taking out a title loan on it and didn't pay it when nobody knew ab the loan in the first place). he hasn't had a car since then.. we live an hour away so you can see why this could be an issue on top of the fact his mom won't let him borrow her car. if I want him to come over, I go get him, bring him over, and then drive him back at night (parents don't allow guys to sleep over). 
he told me he was gonna get a car in Feb for his birthday, didn't happen. so here we are going into May and he still doesn't have a car because "I have bills I have to pay, I owe my old college money that I'm paying off, and I have to get insurance and a tag". 
I'm past frustrated to say the least. we've been together for almost a year (May 22nd). what would yall do?

I mean with the pandemic i day him not visiting is 100% ok you should not be seeing people outside of your house 💁🏻‍♀️ and his finances are also really none of your business, maybe he dosent want a car he has bills which is a perfect excuse if your ok driving to him then it should be fine, me and my partner loved an hour away and we would bus to each other before moving in together

Well if he can’t afford it then he can’t afford it, he doesn’t have to put himself in debt or in a broke situation just to have a car. I get it’s frustrating going back and forth but it’s either that or you don’t see him

Ied be frustraited to but theres nothing he can do right now if he cant afford it. And maybe next time he will make sure the car is only in his name so his mom cant fuck with it
