Baby dropped

So when I went to my appointment I told my on I had been having period like cramps over the past few days and asked to be checked to see if I had dilated any . I’m 35 weeks currently. He let me know my cervix was still kind of high but I had dilated 1cm and that the baby was very low and head down . I’m a second time mom and delivered at 38 weeks with my first . Has anyone been told this and then how many weeks were you when you delivered?
