TAPS/TTTS
Just had a scan today at 20 and 6 for my mono-di twins boys.
Baby A has a marginal cord insertion -which we found out about at 12 weeks.
Both babies have been growing well -usually only an ounce difference, with A being slightly smaller.
Today we found out he is now looking more anemic and has less amniotic fluid than twin B.
My doctor talked to me about TAPS and the potential for TTTS.
I have an ultrasound on Tuesday with the fetal therapy specialist to follow up. They said if his anemia worsens/things progress, we may need laser surgery.
I'm still a little confused about the difference between TAPS & TTTS, and I'm hoping the specialist will be able to answer my questions.
I'd appreciate any input from anyone who has experienced something similar.
I'm trying to stay calm and positive and know I'm in good hands, but it's so hard not to worry.
