Christmas amount?

Question

Those of you who are doing well and are financially stable, how much do you spend on your children each for Christmas??
My husband says $100 each (2) is enough but the only time they get toys is on christmas or birthdays so they wait all year long for new toys and are well deserved too.
We bring home +10k each month and have always lived frugally, I don't think it's fair to put such a low limit on them for Christmas as now a days, $100 only gets you maybe 2-3 QUALITY toys.

If you're bringing home 10K a month, I'm sure you could find some really unique experiences for the kids instead of a pile of toys. Then you can justify spending more. If it's just a pile of toys, is it really worth it?

I'd rather make memories instead of filling a toy box with toys they won't play with forever. You only get one life with your kids. Don't "buy their happiness" chances are they won't remember those toys when ya'll are in nursing homes , or dieing. They'll remember the trips, & vacations.

We don't do Christmas shopping all at once. We buy things all year for our son so we save money if we get it on sale, and then we get certain things for Christmas and certain things for bday, my son's born in August so the space is perfect.
My husband has also been very limited since he was a kid with a single mum and 4 younger siblings they only got things at Christmas and bdays and then it was only something they've asked for a lot. So my husband now wants to give our son everything he neve had and wants to make sure he's never wanting for anything but I limit dh so ds doesn't learn to be greedy and ungrateful.

With 4 children our Christmas budget gets stretched thin, but we make due. Average is around $150-200 each. We also shop on Black Friday (Thanksgiving) which saves us more than $1000.

My parents had 5 girls, what they did was ask us what was the one thing that we really wanted & then what we needed (along with other small gifts & stocking stuffers).

Whoo hoo I wanna be wittle again and have my mommy spend $500 or more on me for Christmas!!! Haha totally joking!! My mother always blessed her 3 children with many many gifts!!! Ideal amount to me per child is $250-$300!!! Now that's a great Christmas! And I also try to do at least 10 shoes boxes for the children who's parents don't have the means to buy (other countries)!! Its a beautiful thing to do and I find just as much joy in doing that as watching my child rip open her gifts! Little booger doesn't know I spent more time wrapping than shopping! I like my presents to be beautifully wrapped and bowed!!!

Get something for them that means something to you. Don't necessarily have a limit, but don't get something just because of its value.

My mom always spent about $200 on each of us (there are 4 kids in my family). I think it was a good amount. It allowed her to get us each one big thing and a couple smaller gifts  so we had stuff to open but not a ton so your house is overflowing with toys
