Mini crib or standard crib ??

Hi ladies :) I’m trying to decide between a mini crib and a standard crib. I live in a studio and am very limited to space, I would like a mini crib but Idk if it could be used as long as a standard crib, I technically could fit the standard but what rather have that extra space for something else. Any suggestions ??

We have a mini crib that actually transitions into a twin bed (with additional pieces). It has more than enough room for growth and we'll be able to use it for a long time! No need to buy another crib down the line.
We have a one bedroom condo right now and we've set it up beside our bed and it's perfect.

It really depends on how your child grows to be honest, and you wont know that until after their first few weigh ins. My son would have fit in a space saver cot until he was at least a year old, but he is small. We go for a larger cot that turns into a cot bed, because budget is more important to us than space. If space is your bigger concern I would get a moses basket or something similar for the first 3-4 months and figure out the cot once you know what centile your baby is growing on.

I’d just do standard. If you do the mini you’ll have to buy a regular crib soon anyway when baby outgrows the crib. Might as well only have to make one purchase

I am going with a mini crib only.  I got it used online for $25.  My sister has three kids and all of them have used their mini cribs until moving to a bed.  A standard crib really is large for a baby.

Thank you! I think I might go with a standard crib, seems more budget friendly, I think. Since she will fit into that one longer and we won’t have to buy a bigger crib?

My first baby would of grown out of it so soon. Plus sheets are harder to find.

Honestly I just used a pack and play for baby number 3 until he was ready for a toddler bed. My older two had cribs. I plan to use a pack and play for this baby too.

We got a second hand bassinet for the first 3 months or so and then going to get nuna playard. It’s like a pack and play. Much safer and space saving than a crib (IMO). When he is 2/3 he will transition into a mattress in his room or we have a low lying day bed. I’ve heard good things about the nuna playard.
