Breaking up over sex?!

I have been dating this one guy for the past nine months. We have a great vibe together overall.

Sex to me is a very important part in a relationship and I crave that intimacy.

He does too but he never initiates sex when we are together and he says it’s because he’s a gentleman. Which I totally respect.

I want to try new things and he’s very vanilla and it really bothers me.

Is that a valid reason to break up with someone or am I overthinking the situation?
