Did your chemical/early mc result in a shorter than usual period?

I’ve currently just had a chemical, however it’s day 3 and there’s almost no blood coming out anymore which is totally unusual for me as my flow doesn’t really calm down until day 4 or 5. Days 1 and 2 also had a lot less blood than my usual period and I didn’t fill up my cup once when usually after about five hrs on day two if I don’t empty, I’ll be having a huge mess (sorry tmi). This lead me to wonder what causes a lighter than usual period, so I took to google.

I read on healthline.com that a short unexpected period can be a miscarriage. I was always under the impression that miscarriages have way more blood and last longer than a usual period. I’m not sure why I thought this or where that info came from, but according to what I read, it says “a short, unexpected period could be a miscarriage”. I’m curious if this was true for those of you who have had an early MC or chemical pregnancy.

So I guess this also leads me to ask, is the bleeding from an early mc not considered a period? According to this, it doesn’t sound like it.
