Baby covering ears?

Does anyone else’s baby do this? He seems to do it mostly when he’s upset about something and fussing. I’ve seen it could be an autism sign and it just worries me. Thanks!

My daughter does it but she tries to play peekaboo  😂

My daughter does it. Has for a long time. She's had a lot of ear infections and we noticed she does it when she's getting one or has one. She also will do it when she's getting and when she's tired. I think part of it is discovery. They're learning that it sounds different when they cover their ears.

Don’t worry about this. My baby thinks it’s funny! Does he answer to his name? Smile? Interact with you? Play hide and seek? If the only thing you see is this, do not worry.

Yes! We also play with him when he does it(we'll say things like "can you hear me"). He just figured out things sound differently when he does it. I wouldn't worry about it yet, they're just exploring.
