When did you start giving water to your baby ?

I don't know when to start giving water ? Baby has puree breaky and dinner and also breastfed. I always feel like he must be thirsty after solids but I was reading online to only give breast milk instead of water until they are older. 
Baby is 5 months and 2 weeks

I think 6 months, but no more than 1-2 oz per day at first

We just had our 6 month check up last week. Dr said 1-2oz a day. Breastmilk is hydrating and quenches their thirst so there’s no need to offer water just because baby is thirsty.

Talk to your doctor, it's going to depend on your kid. My daughter was really skinny and her doctor said to only give milk, even after she turned one, since she could use the calories, but my son is chubby and I suspect he'll get the go-ahead for water or low fat milk much sooner.

I think.  THINK that the dr said 1oz at 6mo with my first. But call their dr and ask
