Breach baby and doctors turning baby..

I’m 35 weeks & 5 days with my second baby girl. She’s measuring 37 weeks. She’s a little bigger. She is still breach and doctor isn’t sure if she will turn or not. She said next week, after they check fluid from ultrasound, they can try to turn her or we can schedule a c-section. Last summer I had a normal delivery with my daughter and everything was fine. Have you had your baby turned head down? Was it successful? How painful was it. She said it only works 50% of the time. I really don’t want to have a c-section but I’m worried it won’t work so why try to have her turned.
