I’m a POS for wanting child support?

I just made a post about how awful of a situation my ex is putting me in financially as he literally has ZERO responsibilities.  He is 34 and has two kids- doesn’t pay child support for either of them and has our daughter 1 day a week and his son from a previous relationship 2 days. 
He’s left me in huge debt and I basically am starting from scratch. I told him I am filing for child support since we have been apart for almost a year and he hasn’t helped at all. I provide insurance, daycare, food, diapers, EVERYTHING and he just screws around all week. So I tell him and he goes off on me saying “I am the biggest piece of shit for trying to take money from him” “he just will quit working so he doesn’t have to pay me a dime” and that “I’m malicious because I make more money than him so I should be able to pay for the baby on my own”.
WHY ARE SOME PEOPLE LIKE THIS? I seriously do not understand.

Child support is to ensure that BOTH parents support their child/children. Unfortunately, even with child support, we women are stuck bearing the majority of the financial load with the kids....but they don’t understand that part 🙄. File for child support & stick with it. If he quits working, that’s fine...he’ll get his taxes, unemployment, retirement, etc garnished & his license suspended. You are in no way vindictive, mean, spiteful, whatever. You are looking out for your children financially. Good luck

My ex chose not to work so his child support was ordered based on minimum wage since there was no reason for him to be unemployed lol he’ll still be ordered to pay and start racking up arrears. No dodging it.

Document him saying he’d quit his job. Hell, document EVERYTHING he says and does. Don’t let him win. Don’t let him tear you down. He just wants the easy road.

So you file and let him quit his job. I seriously hope you got that through text and you keep it as proof of his refusal to pay. When he filed for unemployment he will get that taken, any money he makes will be garnished, and he will be screwed. Keep fighting for your child, do everything you have to keep that child supported.

Sure he doesn’t have to pay but he’ll fuck himself over other ways ... he needs to help take care of his child . Follow through and get him on child support . Guys like this need hard fucking lessons . We need to stop letting guys be dead beats . Do what the courts and lawyers tell you to do . Don’t listen to him . And guys also need to hold dead beat moms accountable too . What matters is the KIDS . Fuck his feelings .

Yeah you totally arent a POS for needing child support. Kids are expensive and you're not asking for it because you want to buy extra crap for you, it's because you're struggling to provide for your child! Also, if he quits work voluntarily then they would use his most recent work history as a basis for his earning potential to determine what he still has to pay once he is back in work, so it will only screw him in the end if he does that (definitely keep record of him saying that too!). Dont feel bad for a second for needing help from your child's father when they arent helping voluntarily.
