Ranch or 2 story house?

My husband and I are building a house next year. Our baby girl is 4 months old and we would like another baby in the next two years! Which house should we choose, ranch or 2 story? I grew up in a 2 story and hubby grew up in a ranch. The ranch floor plan would have master and two bedrooms on main floor with a 4th bedroom (guest) downstairs. The 2 story would have master on the main with 3 bedrooms upstairs and a bonus room, and 5th bedroom downstairs. I love the idea of the bonus room but husband says we can just make the basement their playroom in the ranch. What do you think?!
