How do you feel about needle photos?

How does everyone feel about needle photos (I'm sure there's a better name for em, but I don't have one)?  Let me start by saying I do not have a fertility issue. I had a stroke 3 days before my 21st Birthday caused by the estrogen in my birth control. Because of this I have to give myself daily injections of lovenox (blood thinner which is often use with infertility). I have decided to do maternity photos and am debating on doing a photo like this. My ex's family has often accused me of drugs (because I'm small framed always have been) and I'm scared others will too when they see my not so pretty bruised belly. 😔 I'm thinking doing a photo like this may for one kind of show what's going on and two just show my struggle. Especially since I've had many people make fun of my stroke and say it was just a seizure. I don't know if it would he weird/cringy to do a photo like this? I have mixed feelings about it, honestly. Looking for some opinions.

I had fertility issues and finally had my daughter through IVF. These pictures are powerful and meaningful to me but I chose not to do them. They aren’t my thing.  Sorry you went through what you did and if you think this would be meaningful for you, do it. However I do think people assuming infertility issues when they see pictures like this. Just be prepared for that. Maybe I’m wrong though.

Well if they knew anything about birth control and strokes/ blood conditions then they would know better. People are ignorant. If it means something to you then go for it. I think of infertility when I see a picture like that though.

I think it’s gross to keep that many used sharps to lay out. I am a big fan of disposing of them properly after use.

At first glance I thought it was weird but that’s because I didn’t know what others have to go through. I was lucky to get pregnant on the first try with my husband. These needles tell a story!

This was our announcement. I think everyone has an opinion about everything you do, so just do what you want! I think it can be tasteful and it does tell the story. I just cracked open my sharps container. As me and my fiancé were organizing the photo it brought back so many emotions. It’s HARD to go through treatments/do injections. I cried and was bruised and hurt so bad it but was all for our sweet baby. Some (most) has no idea how hard we tried to conceive but obviously the couture told the story so I didn’t have to. At the end of the day you should do what you want to do. ❤️

Don’t show hurtful ppl the photo.  Do it for you and the story of how your baby came to be.
