Projector or TV?

Question

Anyone use a projector instead of a TV? We've got a nice large lounge with big walls and I've been wanting to get rid of the TV cabinet for a while now.
Is the colour as vivid and the picture as clear as a TV? Can you connect a home WiFi system to it?

Answer

Yup. We got rid of our TVs after we moved into a house with a theatre room. I prefer it over TVs now tbh. The quality depends on the projector. Look for a projector with good contrast ratio, but that’s only good as long as the room can be completely dark (no windows etc.). Ours is WiFi enabled so I use it to stream Netflix lol. Looks great especially if you have the 4K option. The only thing about projectors is the sound doesn’t travel very far with the built-in speakers so it’s best to buy high quality speakers separately.

We have a projector but it’s in our front living and we only use it when we have movie nights. It’s cool but I wouldn’t want it as a permanent tv. It can be hard to see during the day because of the light. And you can get one that can use WiFi I think.
