Street photographer husband wants to start going out to take photos ?

My husband is a journalist. When corona started he didn’t have a camera, the one he had broke a month before. So he buys a camera and it arrived today and he wants to go out and start doing documentary photography: I’m very worried now, we have an infant. I want to go stay at my mom while he does this so he doesn’t get us all sick. He says he will be safe but I just don’t believe that.
