Foremilk?

Question

Ok guys so I’ve been pumping for a few minutes before feeding my little guy because I think I have a formilk hindmilk imbalance. Plus he gets choked or mad when letdown comes
So my question is... do you save that milk? It’s obviously not the fatty milk baby needs so do I save it? What do I do with it? Lol

Baby needs foremilk as much as hindmilk.  It’s full of sugar to help their brains grow 😁
I did have a bit of an imbalance due to oversupply issues but instead of pumping, I latched baby on the “empty” side first so he got plenty of hindmilk and then switched to the other side.  With heavy let down, when I felt it coming, I’d just pop him off and catch it in a burp rag or the haaka (without added pressure).  That’s what my LC had suggested in order to slow down my oversupply and allow things to balance out betters whereas pumping encourages the imbalance.  
That being said, you can save your foremilk for when baby is older and has a tummy bug (easier to digest) or hot days where baby might need some extra hydration, or for mixing in baby food if you do homemade purées or cereal.  You can even freeze it in small cubes and put them on one of those mesh feeders during teething.
